TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION (Annex 3) 1. INTRODUCTION Due to the future expansion, the Company needs transition from the Microsoft Exchange 2003 mail servers to the Microsoft Exchange 2010 with higher productivity for increased flexibility, reliability, availability, security and control. As the new advanced mail server software requires more powerful hardware, then 5 HP rack mount 2U servers must be proposed. 2. SCOPE OF WORK The K-Telecom wants to migrate Email Infrastructure from Microsoft Exchange 2003 to Microsoft Exchange 2010 integrated with Active Directory 2008 for scalability, performance and redundancy. All the Existing and new Email Id’s should be configured at the client side appropriately. 3. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENT - Applicant should design and migrate the current Exchange 2003 set up to Exchange 2010 accommodating 1,000 + Mailboxes - The solution should be of following setup. The 2 node mailbox servers exchange 2010 cluster (geographically in deferent sites), one Edge and Forefront Spam filter Server, one server for Client Access role and one server for HUB role. - Applicant should carry out the Implementation which includes migration of current set of mailboxes, distribution groups and creation of new mailboxes and groups. - Applicant should provide appropriate Sizing for the storage and mailboxes should be provided as per the VivaCell-MTS’s requirement. - The Client Access Server configuration should include outlook web access, Mobile Access features. - All Exchange Servers should follow VivaCell-MTS’s Security requirements and Email Governance policies. - Migration strategy should include configuration of Mail clients for the Email Id’s created. - Applicant should follow the Microsoft Exchange 2010 best recommendations. - Applicant should test all the exchange related migration and configuration before moving into production (on VivaCell-MTS side). - Applicants should provide custom scripts or configuration has a part of the migration plan as per the VivaCell-MTS’s requirements. - Applicant should provide all the necessary protocol’s and port number for VivaCell-MTS’s security requirements and appropriate network configurations. - Applicant should customize the Exchange 2010 OWA page according to VivaCell-MTS’s requirement. - Applicant should install and configure the Forefront Anti-spam filter for Front End Servers. - Applicant should install the Certificate from Certifying Authority for Front End Servers. - The design solution should envision the unified communication capabilities of the VivaCell-MTS. - Static and Dynamic Distribution Groups should be configured appropriately. - Exchange 2010 Multiple Address Books should be configured as per the VivaCell-MTS’s requirements. - The exchange 2010 configuration should provide Offline Address Book Support. 4. PARAMETERS FOR HARDWARES Applicant should propose below requested HWs. It is acceptable to propose other equivalent HP produced HWs which will be evaluated comparing with the set parameters.
