1 (a) Ready-made application package : Ready to use and relatively
cheaper
Custom-made application : No redundancy or lack of functions, and
better design (of reports, layout view, etc)

GUI stands for Graphical User Interface and it is the interface
between the user and the computer.
Adv: with GUI, no command should be recited and the user only click
on the icon which implies the meaning to execute the command.
Disadv: GUI requires a relatively high performance computer to

7 (c) It is used for quick and simple editing of text file where no format is
needed. An example can be writing source programs.
8 (a) Merge printing
Choose Merge Print from the Tool menu.
Create Mailing Labels
Open the data source by selecting File A.
Edit the mailing label by inserting the name and address field into
suitable positions.
Merge to a new document and the mailing labels are created.
