(insert library name) IS INTRODUCING AN EXCITING NEW OPPORTUNITY FOR
VISUALLY IMPAIRED PATRONS TO READ A BOOK
The Bierley BigReader is the very latest in hi-tech equipment designed
specifically for visually impaired patrons to use to read library books and other
literature.
(insert town, county) – (insert day, month, year) – (insert library name) today announced
that they have recently added the Bierley BigReader – an easy to use but powerful 17”
TFT LCD electronic magnifier – as part of the libraries social inclusion initiative.
The magnifier, which boasts a large 17” viewing screen is designed to be extremely
simple and easy to use for reading books, magazines and other printed material.
“Although the equipment is only for use within the library, we hope that people in the
community will come in and enjoy what we have to offer here,” said (insert library
spokesperson’s name and title). “With the BigReader, anyone can come in and simply
switch it on and start reading the super sized text displayed in front of them”.
The rugged, but stylish monitor is the very latest in hi-tech magnifiers designed
specifically for libraries. Once a patron goes into the library, they press the on button
and can start reading immediately. Not only is the BigReader ideal for reading books,
but it can also be used for reading notices, bills, letters or other printed material. There
are options to read in full color, pure white text or pure black text depending on personal
preference and all those functions are controlled with one very easy to use button.
“The BigReader was designed with simplicity and ease of use in mind,” said Ian Bierley,
CEO, Bierley Associates, Inc. “We are delighted to be able to work with libraries in this
area because the library really is a central point and is an important destination within
the community. Our goal is to help libraries to help the local people to get back to the
library and enjoy reading again,” Bierley added.
For more information about the magnifiers at (insert library name), please contact (insert
