Reading habits questionnaire
This questionnaire was developed to know the reading habits of regular students from the 5th level
English course at CELE UNAM, and it will be used as a research tool for an action-research project
at the Teacher´s Training Course.

5. What are the most common topics of your readings? (science, technical, literature, news,
etc.)
LITERATURE IN GENERAL, ALL KIND OF LITERATURE.
6. Why do you read such topics more frequently than others?
I DON’T READ S SPECIFIC TOPIC. I LIKE DIVERSITY.
7. Whenever you are able to choose what to read, which genre (género) and topics do you
prefer?
FOR ENGLISH CLASS, I PREFER READING READING SHORT STORIES (CUENTOS).
8. Where and when do you usually read? Why?
I READ IN MY ROOM (IT’S CONFORTABLE), IN THE SCHOOL (I HAVE A LOT OF TIME BEFORE
ENGLISH CLASS) AND I READ IN THE METRO (OBVIUS REASONS).
9. Do you ever read English-written texts? Why or why not? What kind of texts?
YES, BUT JUST FOR THE ENGLISH CLASS OR ACADEMIC TEXTS FOR THE SCHOOL.
10. How many books do you read yearly? (as an average)
COMPLETE BOOKS? I THINK FIVE OR SIX.
