Your safety at work is our number one priority. 2.) All employees must complete the store safety and security E-module with in two days of starting. 3.) There must be two employees in the store at all times. 4.) The back entrance of each store must be locked at all times. 5.) It is the responsibility of the cashier to notify the manager when there is an excess of money in there register so that the manager may drop it in the safe. 6.) Trash may only be taken out during daylight hours. Cash Handling Policy; 1.) It is each cashiers responsibility to maintain control of there cash register. If you allow others to use your register, then you are still held accountable for any shortages. 2.) It is the responsibility of the cashier to notify the manager when there is an access (4 or more twenties) of money in there register so that the manager may drop it in the safe. 3.) Each cashier must verify there register before starting there shift. If it is not correct then you must notify the manager on duty before you start there shift. 4.) All bills of twenty dollars or higher must be checked with the counterfeit pens. 5.) If you are not sure of how to verify if a bill is counterfeit or not please ask your manager on duty. 6.) All coupons must be stapled to a receipt and verified at the end of each shift. Uniform Policy; 1.) All employees must have on there uniform when they enter the store and clock in. You are not to clock in then enter the bathroom or backroom to get into your uniform. 2.) Your uniform consists of a hat, your Dunkin Donuts shirt, a name badge, tan pants, and black slip resistant shoes. 3.) We will provide you with a hat, name badge, and a shirt. If you lose any of these items it will be your responsibility to pay for the replacement cost. 4.) You are to wear your uniform correctly at all time. This means you are not to wear your hat side ways or backwards, your not to wear you name badge on your hat, etc... 5.) You must be ready for your shift before you clock in. That means that you are not to clock in then go to the restroom to put on your uniform, or go to the bathroom. 6.) When you come into the store the guest no longer can tell if you are on the clock. So you are to present a professional appearance at all times when inside the store. Internet Usage; 1.) Any and all store computers are for the sole purpose of conducting business for the company. 2.) Misuse of the any store computers is subject to disciplinary action. 3.) Computers are not to be used for personnel reasons. THE NEEDS OF THE BUSINESS COME FIRST. 2.) You are entitled to (2) two smoke breaks per shift if business will allow it. These are at the discretion of the manager on duty. 3.) You are to get permission to smoke before you go out to smoke. 4.) You are not to sit at the front door smoking. Our guest do not want to have to walk through a smoke cloud to enter our store. 5.) You are required to perform other task well you are smoking (these include but are not limited to, sweeping, empting trash, cleaning windows, etc…) Employee availability; 1.) If your availability changes after you are hired it is your responsibility to give us those changes in writing. 2.) If we do not receive this then it is assumed that your availability listed on your application is still in effect. 3.) If your availability does changes this may also affect the number of hours you receive. It is not the companies policy to guarantee your work week hours. 4.) If you change your availability it does not affect any and all schedules that are already posted. Days off Request; 1.) First and foremost this is a business. We will try to honor any days off requested, but just because a day is requested off does not guarantee you to get the day. 2.) Days of request will be handled by your store manager on a first come first serve basis. 3.) Also if you request days off you will not be guaranteed of making up any missed hours later during the week. 4.) Any days off requested must be received at least two weeks prior to the day being request. Call-Out Policy; 1.) All call outs must be received by a manager at least two (2) hours before the start of your shift. 2.) If you are scheduled to open the store you must speak to a manager the night before your shift. 3.) Any call-outs must be accompanied but an excuse. This is to include but not limited to a doctors note, a police report, etc. 4.) Any call-outs with out a verifiable excuse are subject to disciplinary action. 5.) Any Managers calling out for a shift, must call out to there supervisor (either there store manager if they are a shift leader or the Area Manager if they are a store manager). The store phone is used for Business purposes only. 2.) Any misuse of the store phone will be accountable to the employee for any reimbursement and or disciplinary action. 3.) PERSONAL cell phone usage is not permitted during shift hours. So if you are on the clock leave your phone off. Misuse of personal cell phones will be subject to disciplinary action. Employee Meal Policy; 1.) All employees are entitled to receive a discounted meal on any shift that they work. 2.) This is a 20% discount on all FOOD products and must be paid for before receiving your food. 3.) All employees are entitled to free donuts and coffees on any shifts worked. 4.) If you are not working you are required to pay full price for your meals. 5.) All meals must be paid for through the manager on duty and have a receipt with them. You are not to make your own food. 6.) You must eat your meal in the employee designated area. Ask your manager where your stores area is. 7.) The manager on duty will decide when you are to receive your meal. These meal breaks will be giving based on the needs of the business. Employee Personnel Conduct Policy; 1.) This is a family restaurant and as such we must maintain a certain level of professionalism at all times. 2.) You are not to use profane language at any time well at work. 3.) You are not to sit at the front door smoking. Our guest do not want to have to walk through a smoke cloud to enter our store. 4.) Employees that are off the clock are not allowed behind the counter. 5.) All conversations on the sales floor must be appropriate to a family establishment (i.e. no conversations about Drinking, Gossip, Bedroom discussions, etc…) 6.) GUEST COMES FIRST AT ALL TIMES. 7.) If a guest comes in all personnel conversations are to be stop while you are taking care of the guest. Stop what you are doing and take care of the guest. 8.) If a guest comes in all side work task should be put on hold while we serve the guest. Stop what you are doing and take care of the guest. 9.) The guest comes in for a relaxing atmosphere; conversations should be in low and quiet voices. They should not hear your conversations from all over the store.
