2012 CITY FIRE GOLF TOURNAMENT
The Auburn Hook and Ladder Company #1 is a benevolent and social, 501 (c) (3), organization consisting of
members who support and promote fire protection and safety in the Auburn Community.
Tax ID No. 68-0238399
Auburn Hook and Ladder Company # 1 members donate time and services to local community groups and
events in the Auburn area. These groups include Auburn Air Show, Auburn Area Christmas Basket Program,
and theAnnual 4th of July Pancake Breakfast. In past years we have supported the Boy Scouts, Auburn Little
League, Auburn Youth Soccer, and Placer High School.
In addition to purchasing and donating bicycles to the Christmas Basket Program, The Auburn Hook and
Ladder Company #1, purchases and donates safety equipment and tools to the Auburn Fire Department. Some
of the items donated include: vehicle lock-out kit for removing children locked inside cars, radio
communication enhancement for safer communications at emergencies, a smoke generating machine for
firefighter training, and incident computers for fire engines and command vehicles. Over the past several years,
The Auburn Hook and Ladder Company #1, through donations and fundraisers, has donated approximately
$30,000 to the historical renovation of the Old Town Fire and El Dorado Street Fire Station.
This year the Auburn Hook and Ladder Company #1 is sponsoring its 7th Annual Auburn City Fire Golf
Tournament. The Tournament is the primary annual fundraiser for our organization. This year’s Tournament
will be held at the Ridge Golf Course in Auburn. Following the golf, there will be a short social event including
dinner and raffle prizes.
In addition to supporting the above mentioned groups and events proceeds from this event will go toward
purchasing fire prevention educational materials that will be used to educate school children throughout the City
of Auburn.
In these times of constrained budgets, we thank you for your participation in the Auburn City Fire Golf
Tournament, and your generous continued support of the Auburn Hook and Ladder Company #1.
