The Many Faces of Emotional & Social Intelligence
A key challenge for most people in organizations is to be increasingly more skilful and
intentional with the application of their emotional & social intelligence. We need to be able
to respond to life’s pressures in such a way that is effective, rather than destructive or
performance limiting.
The primary goal of learning about our emotional & social intelligence is to improve
personal resilience and performance by learning to be more conscious of our emotions,
and more skilful in applying the appropriate emotion at the appropriate time.
Emotional & Social Intelligence (ESI) encompasses the personal, emotional, and social
abilities and skills which allow us to succeed in coping with environmental demands and
pressures. Understanding your ESI will help you identify your strengths as well as areas
for potential growth to enhance your personal performance. This full-day workshop will
provide workshop participants with the following:

Throughout her years in business, Linda Beck has worked with a variety of
organizations. Her industry experience encompasses all levels of
government, retail, manufacturing, printing, direct marketing, education and
within each of these venues, she has facilitated, designed, developed, and
implemented many performance and learning development programs. To view outlines

Linda graduated from the University of Waterloo with an Honours Political Science
degree, subsequently attained a Certificate in Adult Education Training, as well as her
Masters of Business Administration, is a certified Emotional Intelligence Coach (EQi™
coach) and True Colors™ facilitator. Linda has conducted extensive research studying
success strategies related to performance development within organizations with a
particular focus on Emotional Intelligence. In addition, Linda has administered the
EQi™ assessment and subsequently coached individuals and groups on the
assessments’ findings. The EQi™ assessment is an on-line self-assessment that
identifies the individual’s strengths and challenges with respect to their emotional
intelligence. Along with these workshops, Linda also facilitates Customer Service,
Project Management, Effective Communication, Facilitation with JAD, Supervising
Success, Time Management, Conflict Resolution, and Personal Leadership.
