blow down of boilers & HRSG and coordination with production department to keep them within limits.
 Supervision of activity of loading and unloading of water treatment resins and instrument air dryer
desiccant.
 Technical assistance and monitoring of boilers start up and cooling water system.
 Prepared procedure and coordination with production department for cooling water system passivation
during plant idle conditions.

 Carried out PHA of different sections to identify the PSM critical components.












Monitoring of process parameters of following equipments
Hydrotreater, Desulphrizers, Reformer, HTSC, LTSC, Catacarb System, Methanator, Ammonia Converter, Air
Compressor and Synthesis Gas Compressor.
Calculation of material and energy balance of ammonia plant for trouble shooting and approach to Equilibrium
Temperature of catalysts to evaluate their performance.
Simulation of the process for energy optimization and process troubleshooting using Aspen Plus and Hysys.
Performance evaluation of cooling water heat exchangers by measuring pressure drop through them and rating on
manual basis and by using Hysys and HTRI softwares on existing conditions.
Preparation of pressure drop profile of front end and back end of plant to monitor the performance of catalysts.
Monitoring and adjustment of process parameters during shutdown and start-up of plant.
Supervision of activity of loading and unloading of catalysts of steam reformer, secondary reformer
hydrotreator, desulphrizers and high temperature shift convertors.
Monitoring of consumption of chemicals used at ammonia plant.
Calculation of efficiency of radiant section of steam reformer, pumps, heat exchangers, steam turbines and
steam to carbon ratio calculation for energy optimization.
Carried out PHA of ammonia plant as Du Pont PHA team member to identify the PSM critical components.

Designing of ammonia recovery unit for purge gas..
Designing of heat exchanger for high pressure air by using HTRI software.
Evaluation of different combinations of ammonia converter effluent heat exchangers (parallel and series) to
decrease load on chillier for energy conservation.
Mapping of skin temperatures of CO2 condensers to improve their efficiency.
Commissioning of new ammonia storage tank.
Commissioning of new cooling tower cell.

Worked as Supervise in the team consisting of Haldor Topsoe, Global, ECPL and Descon Engineering Ltd.
Representatives (I was hired by Descon) for the project of loading of catalyst of Steam Reformer tubes at Engro
Chemicals Pakistan Ltd. Daharki.( ENGRO ENVEN 1.3 PROJECT, WORLD LARGEST SINGLE TRAIN
AMMONIA UREA COMPLEX).






Conducted PSSR of new turbine installation for Boiler Feed Water pump.
Designing of Reverse Flow Regeneration System for Ion Exchange Resin Beds
using ion exchange softwares i.e. Dowix cad and Purolite ion exchange software
Commissioning of Phosphate Treatment System
Compilation of CDM (Carbon depletion Management) data.
Designing of system for permanent cooling water supply to N2 generator and Gas Turbine Lube Oil cooler for
energy conservation using KORF software.
Developed SOP for the loading, reduction and commissioning of new LTSC catalyst.
Coating of urea and DAP with different chemicals to enhance their activity.


