In Brief
I began piano lessons at age seven, guitar lessons at age ten and settled on the Electric Bass
at age fourteen. I studied Double Bass under George Woodall and Barry Johnson (New
Zealand Symphony Orchestra) I formed my first band when I was twelve and started making
‘music for money’ by age fifteen.
Throughout the seventies I travelled and toured in England and the United Sates, as well as
touring New Zealand extensively, performing live and in the studio.
I spent most of the ‘80s based in New Zealand, writing, playing in house bands and honing
my skills as a recording engineer and producer.
During the nineties I enjoyed a long association with The Rodger Fox Band and continued to
record and enjoy working with ‘stars’ touring New Zealand.
