The ninth-annual Main Street Mile will take place Saturday, October 3rd, 2015 at 9 a.m
. This is a very exciting event for the participants and for the City of Newark! Hundreds of people will have the chance to run or walk the length of Main Street from McDonald’s Circle to the Deer Park Tavern.
The Main Street Mile has helped fund the Newark Police K-9 unit for the past nine years and made it possible for the program to purchase three K-9 dogs. It is because of your help that we continue to fund the program and keep the City of Newark a safer place to eat, shop, work and dine.
For business owners, this is not only a great cause to support but an amazing marketing opportunity. The amount of press this event gets is amazing. All major Delaware media and publications cover the event. We are popular across social media and there’s a surge of hits on our website for registration, results and pictures of the event.
We also encourage our sponsors to come to the event and participate. The police officers always host an
INCREDIBLE K-9 demonstration, along with a post-party reception featuring music, food, Bloody Mary bar and beer tent. All runners age 21 and over will be offered a refreshing beverage after EARNING their mile.
In order to ensure that your logo is on the official event T-shirt, please commit to sponsorship before
September 5th, 2015 . After that date, we will not be able to add sponsor logos to the T-shirts.
For your convenience we have three different sponsorship levels:
German Shepherd: $750
This level includes a premium spot on the back of the T-shirt with a bigger company logo in addition to logo placement on our website with a link to your website. You company logo also will be on race banner at the finish line. These sponsors receive five entries for the Main Street Mile.
Belgian Malinois: $500
This level includes your company logo on back of the T-shirt, along with your logo on our website with a link to your website. These sponsors receive two entries for the Main Street Mile.
Labrador: $250
This level includes your name on back of the T-shirt and the official website.
