all subjects and standards. To get free access, the username and
password is your school district name, with some abbreviations.

http://www.timath.com . Contact ti-cares@ti.com and Doyt
Jones at djones@ti.com for support information.
 NCSM
Go to www.ncsmonline.org to join The National Council of
Supervisors of Mathematics. You must be a member of NCSM
in order to purchase any materials. Including the following:
 The PRIME Leadership Framework
Principles and Indicators for Mathematics Education Leaders
“This framework can be used:
 To guide conversations and actions about leadership
around indicators of exemplary practice
 To provide the language, focus, and actions for
professional conversations with colleagues in the context
of the workplace
 To meet the needs of novice leaders as well as to enhance
the skills of veteran leaders”
 PCSM
Also join and go on line to the Pennsylvania Council of
Supervisors of Mathematics at: http://www.pcsmonline.org.
This organization offers information, opportunities and
resources to all leaders in mathematics, not only supervisors but
department chairs, coordinators and coaches.
 Math Forum (http://mathforum.org)
Remember them? “Did you know:
 The Math Forum @ Drexel offers online professional
development for teachers?
 The Math Forum has created a new Problem Solving and
Communication Activity Series to support teachers’
development of problem solving in their classroom?
 The Math Forum website Math Tools is a community
library of technology tools, lessons, activities, and
support materials for teaching and learning
mathematics?”
 Standards Aligned Systems – Mathematics
Math Council members received Dr. Jim Bohan’s power point
presentation from the PCSM/PCTM Annual Conference which
explains and explores the Standards Aligned System, along
with the Curriculum Framework component. This information
will help in assisting those who wish to present to their own
faculties.
 The 2009 Pennsylvania Statistics Poster Competition:
For more information, go to: www.francis.edu/paposter.
Thanks to Caroline Brennan for this information.
 Discussions followed concerning the CPM (College Preparatory
Mathematics) www.cpm.org . Some members of the team knew
teachers who used the program successfully. The curriculum was
compared with IMP (Interactive Mathematics Program)
www.mathimp.org and its successes and weaknesses.
 Next meeting Jan. 21
We’re looking forward to a return engagement from Robert
Sun, the inventor of First in Math, along with Cred Dobson.
During their last visit they were able to give free classroom
access to districts in attendance. We are hoping for a
larger attendance this time. Please try to attend, send a
representative or invite principals who are interested.
Happy Holidays
