Coaches are obligated to maintain USA Gymnastics Professional Membership, Safety Certification and Background Checks. In addition, all credential must be brought with you to every sanctioned competition. 4. Coaches – REQUIRED NUMBER OF COACHES ARE INDICATED ON SESSION ASSIGNMENT LISTING. Be sure that the required number of coaches are present during sessions. Please respond to Debbie Le Moal’s emails promptly regarding any required information needed. 6. No placement awards are presented at sectionals. All Around Achievement Awards are presented to all gymnasts based on the score, plus each gymnast will receive an individual achievement ribbon after each event. 7. COACHES – PLEASE COME PREPARED TO ENTER YOUR STATE MEET FOLLOWING YOUR TEAM’S LAST COMPETITIVE SESSION. ONE CHECK CAN BE USED FOR BOTH LEVELS. 8. A Gym or Booster club check, ONLY, made payable to VAUSAG is required. 9. State Entry Fee: $75.00 per gymnast 10. Qualifying scores to State from Sectional Meets – Level 5 – 32.50 All Around Level 4 – 33.00 All Around 11. A certified athletic trainer will be available at all sessions. World Class Gymnastics is on the left past the storage facility. From Virginia Beach and Points South: 1. Take I-64 West. 2. Take exit 256A towards Oyster Point Blvd. Travel approx 1.5 miles. 3. Turn left onto VA-143 E/Jefferson Ave. Travel approx. .6 miles. 4. Turn right onto Bell King Rd (at the light). Travel approx .3 miles. World Class Gymnastics is on the left past the storage facility. 5 SECTIONAL PACKET 5.1 PURPOSE OF SECTIONAL MEETS The purpose of Sectional Meets is to qualify to the State Championships. These meets are set up to run as efficiently as possible while allowing each team to have all of their gymnasts, regardless of level or age, compete at the same time. The following awards are presented during and at the conclusion of each session: Levels 4 & 5 receive individual event achievement ribbons at the conclusion of each routine performed per USAG guidelines as follows: Blue ribbon: Red ribbon: White ribbon: Yellow ribbon: Green ribbon: 9.000 & above 8.000-8.975 7.500-7.975 7.000-7.475 6.975 & below Levels 4 & 5 receive a Virginia Sectional All-Around Achievement Medal at the conclusion of each session based on the following All-Around totals: Level 4 & 5 Blue ribbon medal: Red ribbon medal: White ribbon medal: 36.000 A.A. & Above 35.975-33.500 A.A. 33.475 A.A & below All-Around scores announced at Sectionals represent the gymnasts’ ranking in that session ONLY and do not give an accurate representation of their placement in the state. No event or all around placement awards are given. To see a complete ranking of all gymnasts in each age group competing at the sectional meet, please refer to the VAUSAG website on the day following the last session of competition at www.VAUSAG.com. Gate Fees may be charged to all Sectionals held in an outside facility. All gate fees to Sectional & State meets are set by the Virginia State Administrative Committee. Sectional Hosts should include this statement in their programs.
