應用 EOQ/ROP 存貨管理模式改善家用儲水塔運作機制之研究

Abstract
Two types of control mechanism of household water tower are usually utilized: one is
a stable liquid level control mechanism and the other is a high and low liquid level
control mechanism. The later is discussed in this paper. The water level of a
household water tower is controlled by the float level controller which has two
floating balls. The lower ball is utilized to activate the pump motor to draw water and
the upper ball is used to stop the pump motor to pump water. When the water level is
lower than the level of the lower ball, the pump motor is activated by this ball weight
and starts to draw water. When the water level reaches the full level, the upper ball is
squeezed by the water pressure and then turns off the pumping motor. Therefore, the
size of the household water tower and the gap between the levels of these two balls
determine the days of the storage water which can be used for a family. And the level
of the lower ball determines the frequency of re-pumping water and the days of the
rest storage water which can be used for a family when water supply is cut off.
Usually, the determination of the size of household water tower and the level of lower
ball is depended on the experience of installer and scared of a feasible model.
Therefore, the EOQ/ROP model is proposed in this paper to determine the reasonable
size of household water tower and level of lower ball. This application can facilitate a
family to decrease lack of water, the frequency of re-pumping water and energy of
usage.
