CURRICULUM VITAE
Joan E. Feldman
Computer Forensics Inc.™ , a pioneer in the science of the forensic computing,
combines the expertise of computer engineers and litigation and records management specialists.
As founder and president of Computer Forensics, Ms. Feldman is responsible for developing
procedures for securing, analyzing and using electronic data for evidence in civil litigation
matters. In addition, she maintains primary responsibility for electronic risk control efforts and
oversees CFI’s consulting teams.
Ms. Feldman has over twenty years of technical and management experience in computer
forensics, project management, data base design, computer installation and system
administration.
While at Computer Forensics, Ms. Feldman has created project methodology for
restoring and screening evidence on DOS, Windows, NT, UNIX and Novell systems. In
addition, she oversees the efforts of selected experts in their review of evidence on VM/SP,
VM/ENTRY, VAX, Macintosh, LINUX and other operating systems/environments.
Representative computer forensic cases include trade secret theft, sexual harassment,
contractual disputes, electronic document authentication, bankruptcy, insurance claim disputes,
construction accidents, shareholder class action and antitrust litigation matters.
Prior to her computer forensic work, Ms. Feldman worked as a records management
consultant for clients in the utility and nuclear power industry, developing needs analysis and
recommendations for records and information management systems. As a litigation consultant to
law firms, her work included providing managerial support and staffing resources for litigation
efforts, and served as a consultant in the development, evaluation, implementation and use of
microcomputer and data base management systems. Ms. Feldman managed support efforts for
many of the nation’s largest complex litigation matters.
Ms. Feldman is an expert resource for national and international media and a frequent
guest lecturer at continuing legal education programs, universities and industry groups where she
speaks on the topics of electronic media discovery and electronic records management.
