Directions:
Prepare the definitions for the following terms:
 Carnivore- eats meat.
 Decomposer- bacteria and fungus that break down dead
organisms.
 Fins- body parts used by fish for motion.
 First order consumer- any organism that eats producers.
 Food chain- the relationship between plants and animals
that shows who eats what. Energy is transferred from one
organism to another through the food chain.
 Food Web- a number of food chains that are connected
together.

order consumer.
