MILLER & MARTIN PLLC ANNOUNCES ISIDOR J. KIM JOINS FIRM
AS OF COUNSEL TO THE LITIGATION PRACTICE GROUP
ATLANTA, February 7, 2011 – The Atlanta office of Miller & Martin PLLC is pleased to announce that
Isidor J. Kim has joined the office as Of Counsel to the firm’s litigation practice group. For the seven years prior to his lateral move to Miller & Martin, Kim founded and developed his own law office, which focused on the Asian American community, particularly Korean Americans. Working from his leadership position and client base in the Korean community, Kim will now expand those relationships by utilizing the firm’s broader resources and, at the same time, educate all of the firm’s clients about international opportunities.
He began his legal career at Bryan Cave LLP (formerly Powell, Goldstein, Frazer & Murphy LLP).
The addition of Mr. Kim furthers Miller & Martin’s steady growth in the Atlanta market. “Our firm is thrilled to welcome Isidor as his experience and versatility will bolster our ability to serve our clients,” said Danny
Griffin, Managing Partner of the firm’s Atlanta office.
Kim has held leadership roles in many Asian American business associations in metro Atlanta. Among those, he has served as the Vice President of the Korean American Association of Greater Atlanta and was the former President of the Atlanta chapter of the Korean American Coalition. Kim represented the local chapter of the Korean American Foundation at various conferences as a “New Generation” voice and spoke at the national conference. He was selected as one of 30 potential future leaders of Korean decent for the Fifth Annual Overseas Koreans Future Leadership Workshop.
During his career, Kim has represented the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea, the Korean
American Chamber of Commerce of Georgia, Samsung LED America, Inc., and Samsung Electro-
Mechanics American, Inc. He has extensive experience in general business and civil litigation, including jury trials. In addition, he has defended hospitals, health insurance companies, and physician practice groups against government investigations regarding alleged violations of federal statutes and regulations.
These include the Department of Health and Human Services and the Office of the Inspector General regarding specific violations against Medicare, HIPAA, and Anti-Kickback laws.
Kim is admitted to the State Bar of Georgia, the Supreme Court of Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals, and the U.S. District Court for the
Northern District of Georgia.
Kim received his J.D. from Boston University School of Law, where he was the editor of the American
Journal of Law & Medicine . He received his B.A. in American History & Literature cum laude from Harvard
University.
