Module 4 revision lesson – part one
To find the links – go to www.spolem.co.uk, then click internet lessons, then AS/A2,
then module 4 part 1.
I haven’t included any questions on this sheet as they are all multiple choice activities
– but you might find it useful to print some answers off or make notes as you go.
Photosynthesis

Go to Photosynthesis animations. Look through the first two in the list, try the
exercises then take the “post-test” multiple choice.

Go to Bitesize photosynthesis. Read through the sections then try the test. Print
off your answers, then check and correct the ones that you got wrong.

Go to Life Photosynthesis. Note that this quiz goes into more detail than you need
for A level – but you can always guess!
Respiration

Go to Similarities between respiration and photosynthesis. Click on the blue box
which says Tutorial Activity to do the multiple choice quiz.

Go to Respiration and do the same.

Go to Cellular respiration. Scroll down to the bottom of the page first and watch
the animation, then go back and try the multiple choice questions.

Go to Deriving energy from food. Look at Tutorial 7.2 – watch the animation and
try Exercise 1 and Exercise 3. Then go back and take the multiple choice “posttest”.

Go to Bitesize respiration. Read through the sections then try the test. Print off
your answers, then check and correct the ones that you got wrong.
Inheritance

Go to Meiosis. Read the page and answer the questions on the left.

Go to Mendelian inheritance. Try the questions on dihybrid crosses and sex-linked
inheritance.

Go to Bitesize dihybrid cross. Read the revision page, then try the test bite.
Print out your answers and correct them if necessary.

Go to Dihybrid crosses. Click the blue box……
Evolution

Go to The means of evolution. Work through tutorials 17.1 and 17.3 then try the
“post-test” quizzes. (Note not all of this information is on the specification).

Go to Speciation – there’s another tutorial here – particularly do Exercise 1.

Go to Bitesize natural selection and speciation. Read the revision pages, try the
test bite. Print out your answers and correct them if necessary.
Classification

Go to Animal Kingdom quiz – classify the animals.

Go to Classification activity – click on the blue button to open the tutorial then
follow the instructions.

Go to Classifying life – open the activity and follow the instructions.
