VP Morton; finalizing ASWU Sound manifesto, new office assistant, LCD
screens will appear on campus

P Rice; first LCD screen to appear in UC before thanksgiving, TIUA students
looking to become involved in ASWU, Board of Trustees mtg.,

Koll; screens in Ford (on list of locations for future, getting
software), Delph; will screens have film capabilities (mostly slide
show, but the option is there)

VP Rathe; put sample budget on website, sending forms to multicultural
organizations

VP Jones; new amendments/resolutions must be submitted each Monday by
4PM before senate meetings

Resolution – Offensive Halloween Costumes

Reddy; resolution offers positive reinforcement for student reactions,
apologetic creator of the masks. Baptista; offended students and
Latino community have successfully gotten many masks pulled,
Koll; moves to limit discussion to five minutes and tabled if no
decision has been reached. Resume discussion after 8.0 Delph
seconds, two abstentions, passes. Reddy moves to approve minutes,
Hoogstede seconds, passes.

Encourages student input, very few comment cards submitted, 3-4,000 meals
put out every day; pleases many pallets, sustainability important, quality and
nutrition over price, eleven students on staff, new menu advisory committee
(all students eligible to come) meeting bimonthly, mushroom gathering (Xena
forest), apple tasting, pumpkin carving contest (to be displayed on
Halloween) with festive desserts, November proper portions awareness, beef
tastings, Thanksgiving dinner (small plates on Thursdays), next month is
Indian month, local honey, meeting with res services and ASWU senators
greatly appreciated for idea sharing (meals plans/money), this year best year
for theft, Bobirnac; how will new meal plans work economically (costs same,
less all you can eat meals but more flexibility with points, much explained
through food committee board), Rep. Yoshida; appreciates Bon Appétit
during TIUA summer semester, encouraged increased communication
between TIUA and food services

ChimeCat; work order put in to fix clock to procure estimate, when estimate
arrives ChimeCat will submit proper forms for funding

Food Committee; No longer holding survey for new meal plan (E) (five all
you can eat meals plus 4-600 points)

Bikes/Chairs; talking to Campus safety as to why students cannot keep bikes
in rooms, Lisa Holiday; bike monitoring perhaps to be absorbed by Campus
safety – needs to be discussed, Masla proxy; bike locker option for safety,
Reddy; encourages bikes to be kept in basements (not theft-proof) VP
Morton; more money granted for bike racks around campus
