I. 9. Research Interest
1983-1987 – The focus of my work was sleep and cognitive performance: the effect of
sleep deprivation on cognitive performance, and the connection between
laterality and dreams.
Since 1987 to the present, three main areas of research:
1. Endogenous biological rhythms (e.g. temperature cycles, melatonin,
sleep-wake rhythms, etc.), in different research populations (e.g.,
children, adolescents, shift-work, and other pathological populations).
2. The relationship between sleep disorders and eating pathology.
3. The effects of sleep deprivation, and the media on performance,
grades’, behavior and obesity among children and adolescents.
4. The relationship between sleep deprivation, Sleep Apnea Syndrome
and identifying candidates for professional driving license.
