Brief description of activity and station participation: Michael A. Smith, KADI-AM On/Air Personnel
welcomed twelve (12) Boy Scouts from Troop 122 and their parents for a tour of the radio stations.
Their goal was to inform the Boy Scouts and their parents of how radio stations work, and to provide
them with information that could help them determine whether broadcasting is a future career that
might be of an interest.
Internal Professional Development
We maintain a monthly meeting where staff members are trained and instructed in proper business
client relationships, operating procedures and skill improvement. These meetings last approximately
one hour and service to benefit the employees in regard to growth in their respective positions.
Department heads provide weekly and sometimes daily training and mentoring for employees in their
departments to assist in resolving issues and giving instruction in regard to job performance.
The Sales Staff all attended a full day training opportunity provided by the Missouri Broadcasters
Association in June, 2014. There were multiple workshops giving instruction in sales training and
station operations.
