We hope the programme offers a wide choice this year and look forward to seeing you and your friends throughout the coming year. Update on our visit in October 2010:- A small group from Storrington and a very large group from Villerest visited Cerrione, Italy for their official Twinning Ceremony with Pielenhofen, Bavaria. The entire village turned out to participate, to welcome us warmly. During our 4-day visit, we were catered for by the local people of Cerrione and were also treated to a traditional Bavarian dish of "sausage & sauerkraut" cooked by our German guests all washed down with a tankard of beer, made from a local brewery in Pielenhofen. There was much goodwill and many speeches, all translated so that the representatives of all four countries could understand. It was a multi-cultural, multi-lingual European experience on which we in Storrington hope to build and form the same kind of links and family friendships which have already been established with Villerest. We have invited a small group from Cerrione to visit Storrington this coming September. We hope you will also give our new friends a very warm welcome as this will be there first time to the UK. Photographs of the weekend can be found on our website. Website: storringtontwinning.co.uk Date of visit yet to be confirmed. A short visit to Pielenhofen may also be on our future “diary of events”.
