Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Foundation Scholarship Application ACADEMIC ELIGIBILITY/CRITERIA Student must have a minimum 2.7 overall GPA and be in good university standing. Candidate must be enrolled as a full-time student in one of the following disciplines: o o o o o o o Engineering Sustainability Geology Chemistry Environmental Sciences Health & Safety Business Preference will be given to students entering their junior or senior year; as well as to students from Freeport-McMoRan’s operating communities. Scholarships are available to students with U.S. citizenship. Students attending a North American university with citizenship in Indonesia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Chile, Peru, Canada, Mexico or Australia. Scholarship renewal is contingent upon academic progress; the discretion of the university department or professional organization staff, and the Freeport-McMoRan review committee. Prior receipt of a scholarship does not guarantee a future academic year scholarship. APPLICATION/SELECTION PROCESS Students must apply through their respective University.
