A Wicked World Tasks Homework Your homework for this term and next term will be a series of Imaginary World Tasks. Each task has a points grading. You must score a minimum of 60 points between now and Term 6 (the Summer holidays). You can choose weekly what you would like to do, however, if you choose to be creative one week, I would like a written piece the next. For 2 points Select a poem linked to an imaginary world. Write it neatly in your homework book and decorate. Learn it by heart to tell the class or a group. Research a plant or animal native to North America and create a fact file. Email me with the explanation for why you haven’t done your homework – you have been trapped in an imaginary world. Research a country in North America and create an advertising poster. Research a famous person who originated from Kansas and write a fact file about them. Research the synopsis for “Wicked” and write it in your own words. Create a diagram to show the countries in North America. Design a pair of ruby slippers/or trainers for Dorothy. Write at least 5 maths word problems with an imaginary world theme. Create a set of instructions for a friend to look after your dog Toto. For 5 Points Write a poem about an aspect of North America Create a persuasive letter trying to convince a friend or family member to live in Kansas. Read a book about an imaginary world and do a book review or book cover. Write a character description for the characters in ‘The Wizard of Oz’ or ‘Wicked’. Make a book mark containing illustrations linked to ‘The Wizard of Oz’ or ‘Wicked’. Create a comic strip for an imaginary world adventure. Choose a character from ‘The Wizard of Oz’ and write a letter to persuade the wizard to help them. Design an imaginary world board game or card game Write a diary entry from the point of view of one of the characters in ‘The Wizard of Oz’ or ‘Wicked’. Create a photo diary of living things from your garden. Label and research them. For 10 Points Create a recipe book with North American inspired foods. Write an opening chapter to your own imaginary world story. Design and make a plant/flower/animal from your imaginary world. Create a piece of artwork inspired by a North American artist or an aspect of North America. Write an argument about which city is better – Kansas or Kings Hill. Research and make a North American dish of your choice. Research and write in your own words directions to the Apollo Victoria Theatre. You must include a map and some interesting historical facts about the building. Make a 3D model of an imaginary world. Write a play about an imaginary world of your choice.
