As homework for the meeting Kees had made an introduction to the ebIX documents, including a document list with links and a class diagram. The usage of compositions and the role of IEC in the model caused some discussions. The conclusion of the discussions were that everybody should review chapter 2 in the document and send comments (including links to the referenced documents) to Kees as soon as possible and in due time before next ETC meeting. Thereafter Kees will make an update of the document and publish it as a draft document on the ebIX WEB-page. Homework: Everybody should review chapter 2 and send comments and links to Kees as soon as possible and in due time before next ETC meeting. Kees will update the document and publish it as a draft document on the ebIX WEB-page. 3) Matters arising from previous ebIX Forum meeting Telephone conference related to the ebIX budget The participants could not see any need for changes to the agreed ebIX budget for the time being. Possible transfers can wait until the autumn meeting in ebIX Forum. It is probably no need for a telephone conference on the next ETC meeting. Homework: Ove will inform Konstantin. ETC - ebIX Technical Committee Page: 1 ebIX PowerPoint template Carl added name and place to the subtitle of the PowerPoint template. Homework: Ove will send the PowerPoint template to the ebIX Webmaster for update on the ebIX WEB-page. Update of ebIX recommended identification schemes The document is already published on the ebIX WEB-page. It was however found some errors in the change log of the document. Homework: Ove will update the change log, distribute the document to ETC when done and update the ebIX WEB-page. Document describing how ebIX think cooperation between ebIX, the Gas industry, Eurelectric and other bodies can be done This was not seen as an item for ETC for the moment. 4) EMD Business information model (including proposal for definition of Metered data aggregator and other metering roles) Postponed to a later meeting 5) The Harmonised role model Associations showing responsibilities and descriptions of roles and domains were reviewed and a changeproposal was made. Link on the ebIX WEB page was postponed since there is no harmonised model published. EMD/CuS part of the role model will be discussed on the harmonisation meeting on Friday. Homework: Ove will distribute the change-proposal to the harmonisation group. 6) ebIX CC registry Version 0.4.B of the ebIX CC-registry was reviewed and some changes to the structure of the Code lists was made: We will make up to 4 separate inner elements under each Enumeration element (National, ISO, CEFACT and ebIX). All Enumeration elements will be placed in the same package. For tagged values we will use the tags “Desc”, “Agency” and “List”. The Enumeration element Country_Code was changed to Country_Identifier. The Country codes used in EMD were reviewed and some new European countries was added. Kees is worried for too many unnecessary changes in the EMD model. Homework: Ove will merge the EMD and CuS QDTs. Keeping all tagged values from EMD and marking differences/errors/comments for discussion on next ETC. ETC - ebIX Technical Committee Page: 2 Kees will add all codes from the ebIX code list (Word document) into the enumerations used in EMD and the Dutch CuS model and adding the descriptions as tagged values (“Desc”). 7) Usage of constraints in associations Postponed until next meeting. Homework: Hugo will make an example based on two simple class diagrams based on a set of ABIEs for the next meeting. 8) ebIX XML documents Making the first the XML documents have high priority before next ebIX Forum meeting. There are ongoing work within UN/CEFACT for making XSLTs for conversion from MagicDraw XMI-files to XML-schemas and for generating XML schemas from the TBG17 Excel spreadsheets using macros. 9) Review and update of proposal for ebIX Methodology version 1.1 Due to lack of time the item was postponed. 10) Information A) New EBO web page Kees informed that there is a new EBO web page from last week, see www.edine.info B) ETC comments to the UN/CEFACT UML2EDIFACT: We have received the following comments from ATG1 related to our comments to the document: Nr Submittor Line Comment Number Resolution/Response 27 Ove Nesvik line 80 Why do the transformation rules have to be bi- "This is needed to ensure compatibility with directional, as stated in chapter 2.3? other syntaxes, such as XML." 28 Ove Nesvik line 153- We appreciate the distinction between component Not agreed. The qualifiers in UN/EDIFACT 157 transformation and structure transformation, but and CCTS are used for different purposes we think that we miss the distinction between the and can not be directly related in a data itself and the qualifying information in the transformation. component transformation bullet in chapter 4.3.1, i.e. the relationship between EDIFACT and CCTS qualifiers. 29 Ove Nesvik Enclosed is an example of a class diagram where Not agreed. Do you think something like this need to be explained with supporting text c) could be an alternative to the tables used in the seems to require changes to UMM, it is "UN/CEFACT - UML TO UN/EDIFACT suggested that this should be considered for Transformation rules"? a future version. ETC - ebIX Technical Committee Page: 3 Kees will try to write an answer to Anders. C) UN/CEFACT/TMG (CCTS): UN/CFACT/TMG are having an Interim meeting June 6 - 10, at SAP, in Walldorf Germany. Among others The CCTS Project will be working for the full week. If anybody wants to attend the meeting, you need to provide Name, Company, and Email address to Mary Kay Blantz (blantz@attglobal.net). D) Information from the minutes of the latest IEC/TC57/WG16 meeting, May 2nd 2005: ETSO has requested that the IEC assume responsibility for maintenance of the ETSO standards produced by ETSO Task Force14, Electronic Data Interchange. J.Waight reviewed that Thierry Lefebrve of TC 57 was contacted by Erik Hartwell of ETSO TF 14 with this proposal. It was agreed that representatives of WG-16 should contact ETSO TF-14 to get a better understanding of the proposal on the part of TF-14. The following group was assigned: J. Waight, L. Schmitt, A. Cvetkovic, L. Osterlund, W. Strabbing, S. Mallet, T. Saxton, and R. Baumann. J. Gillerman volunteered to review the work of the team. J. Waight will invite representatives from ETSO TF-14 to participate in the next meeting of WG-16, and to explore a possible future joint meeting with ETSO TF-14. Rudolf Baumann presented the possibility of establishing an UN/CEFACT TBG Energy Group. A sub-team will be made up of W. Strabbing, R. Baumann, O. Nesvik, and Terry Saxton, which should meet by teleconference and prepare a recommendation to WG-16. The CIM model can be found on www.cimuser.org. 11) Next meeting(s) June 15-16, Arnhem September 19-20, Copenhagen October 11th and 12th, Switzerland (Zurich?) 12) AOB A) Request from CuS: Linking of Business processes From the latest CuS minutes: “When linking business processes (making a hierarchy of processes), new administering roles will be responsible for the new sub-processes and national rules should decide if a new Business process id will be made, or if the original Business process id shall be reused. This will be proposed further discussed on the next ETC meeting. ETC - ebIX Technical Committee Page: 4 ” Due to lack of time the item was postponed to the next meeting. B) Request from CuS: Principles for cancellation of a change of roles (and attributes) connected to a Metering point From the latest CuS minutes: “Hugo presented an activity diagram, trying to explain the usage of BusinessDocumentID, BusinessProcessID and CustomerID through a chain of processes involving several actors. In the Netherlands the following codes are used in SG12/CCI/C240 7037: E22, Origin of meter stand - with the following “sub codes in SG12/CAV/C889 7111: o E26, From Party connected to grid o E27, From metered data collector o E28, From metered data responsible We will ask ETC to update UTILTS with CCI/CAV in SG12.” Due to lack of time the item was postponed to the next meeting. D) Review of an overview of ebIX models based on the ebIX domain model from Kees Due to lack of time the item was postponed to the next meeting.
