School Uniform – Compulsory for Years 7 – 11
Our school uniform was designed in close consultation with parents, carers, students and staff. We
worked with a professional fashion designer and our main aim was to create a uniform that was smart,
practical, cost effective and sustainably sourced.
General Uniform
Turquoise polo shirt with Thomas Tallis School logo
Charcoal grey cardigan or V-neck jumper with Thomas Tallis School logo
Black school trousers (not jeans) which must be worn around the waist
Also, girls may wish to wear:
Black school pleated / A-line skirt that should be around knee length (with black tights in cold weather)
Students cannot:
 Wear leggings, jeans, skin-tight trousers, trousers with studs or skin-tight skirts
 Wear hats in school
 Wear a long sleeved shirt under their school polo shirt
We recommend that students wear a comfortable and sturdy pair of shoes to school, and an
appropriate coat in cold weather.
PE Kit

PE sweatshirts, T-shirts and shorts are not permitted to be worn outside of PE lessons or sporting events
as items of uniform.
Hijabs
Must be plain black, turquoise or dark grey
Makeup
Reasonable makeup is permitted but no false eyelashes or nails
Our school uniform is available from White Hall Clothiers and a price list can be found on our Website.
Items may be purchased in person by visiting the shop at 244A High Street, Lewisham, or online at

White Hall Clothiers will be holding a school uniform sale at the school on Thursday 24 July and Friday
25 July 2014, from 1.00 pm to 7.00 pm.
The school still has a number of items in various sizes in stock which you can purchase at reduced
prices via our website, using your Wisepay account. If you are looking to purchase any items for
September, you may want to check our website to see if we have the item and size you require. This
