Issues Discussed:
Discussion was held with those that attended to determine a future direction for the format of the meetings of the group. It was decided that we would try the following format.
Meetings will be held at 5:30pm.
Location will be the conference rooms at Latrobe Community Health
Centre located at the Latrobe Regional Hospital
The format will consist of a speaker for 1 hour and then peer supervision/support for 1 hour. Please note that the APS central group has approved this format and have confirmed that this format will contribute of 2 PD points to your PD accumulation.
We will provide a light supper and tea and coffee on arrival.
The meetings will be bi-monthly.
We will pay a fee to the speaker.
We would like APS college members to nominate for the speaker positions.

-The APS Board of Directors called for nominations its 2005 AGM for the following positions: Treasurer, Director of Communications, Director of Science, and Director of Social Issues. Nominations were as follows: Treasurer - Mr Bruce
Crowe Hon FAPS and Assoc Prof Kate Moore MAPS; Director of
Communications
– Dr Bob Montgomery FAPS elected unopposed; Director of
Science – Professor Simon Crowe FAPS and Assoc Prof Justin Kenardy MAPS;
Director of Social Issues – no nomination. Members will be contacted by mail in early September to vote on the contested positions.
-Danny Blackford attended the Victorian State Committee of the APS meeting on
3 rd August 2005. Issues arising:
Advise for probationary psychologists on choosing a supervisor.
Proposed list of questions to ask supervisor.
- Chair Helen Lindner tabled “Proposed model. Peer support for psychologist following complaint to the board”(see attached). Proposal was discussed and proposed for consideration at the next state meeting.

1 = anticipated support pool would be of approximately 15 APS members.
2 = Proposed fee structure for support services: $120.00 per standard session with PRBV, APS, client covering 1/3 each. Currently, about 2 new cases per month.
3 = Currently there are 4 psychologists who are members of this support services: APS rates paid totally by PRVB.
