District 5160 [ROTARACT DISTRICT COUNCIL APPLICATION]
October 30, 2012
Dear Applicant:
Although the Rotaract 5160 District has been in existence for quite a while now, the idea of a District Council
was only conceived only half a decade ago. Since then, the Rotaract District 5160 Council has been serving as a
medium for uniting the clubs in our district and a tool for springing up new clubs.
With over 65 different Rotary clubs in our district, there has been a growing desire to start up Rotaract Clubs all
over Northern California. As a member of Rotaract 5160 Council, you can help make this happen by not only
fostering the growth of new clubs, but also by further developing already existing clubs.
Therefore, the purpose of the Rotaract District 5160 Council is threefold approach:
 To STRENGTHEN existing Rotaract Clubs within the district
 To ESTABLISH new Rotaract Clubs in Northern California
 To REPRESENT the will of the Rotaract Clubs to the world.
By leading this District Council, you will be committing yourself to a higher level of service and devotion to
Rotaract and the entire Rotary family. You will also be playing an integral part in the history of a blossoming
district. I want to thank you for your desire to serve, and wish you the best of luck!
Best Regards,
Stephen Fong
Rotaract District Governor, 2012-2013
