Concordia International School
Why Concordia?
We are a small school but we offer most of what the larger schools offer but we have a
more personalized; more customized service.
• Macbook 1:1 laptop program to enhance 21st century learning. Students are able to
express themselves in many ways which allows teachers to assess students in more
ways. This technology helps students to work better together in an online environment
and build their confidence to allow better communication and cooperation in the
classroom and socially.
• Our library on online reading materials have doubled the size of our library, allowing our
students to access English reading material on their computers, phones or other mobile
devices.
• We have PSAT, SAT, TOEFL and AP combined with small class sizes for more
individualized learning.
• Many of our students from Asia starting at our school are weak in English. We have a
Lexiled Reading program and after school ESL classes. This focus on the English
language greatly improves the student’s scores.
• To make our students more competitive on university applications we also have Global
leadership and the Job Shadow programs. Our GL program encourages students to
look at the world around them differently. They get the opportunity to explore and
volunteer in the local community. The overseas trip allows the students to extend these
experiences to other countries, helping and making a difference.
• We have awards and with fewer students, more students get to be celebrated.
• We have our PE program in the YMCA and guests
