Aims:
Students should become familiar with the basic concepts, main
forms and channels of today’s business communication and
acquire practical skills needed for effective communication in
business environment such as conceiving, planning, organising,
creating, revising and delivering various types of business
messages.
During this first part of the course (semester 2) students learn
the basics of effective business communication and patterns of
communication which exist in modern business organisations.
Study of theory is complemented by practical exercises –
analysing effectiveness of various business documents and
solving communication problems in various well-known business
firms. Students also learn the necessary skills for effective
conversation, public speaking and making presentations.

development of a structured writing to help them in writing
project papers, business reports and IBS Thesis

view to enhancing their effectiveness
