Use paper of A4 size (210mm x 297mm) and format the text according to this template and the given instructions. Do not right justify the text. Do not hyphenate words at the end of lines. Do not centre any text. Do not underline. Use line spacing of 1.1. Use margins of 20mm on the top and on the bottom as well as on both sides of the document. An easy way to adopt the required formatting is to overwrite these instructions. If possible, structure your abstract according to the aims, methods, results and conclusions. Figures and tables have to be placed close to the relevant text and labelled according to the examples provided in this document. All illustrations should be centred and numbered consecutively (i.e., not section-wise). All illustrations should be provided in black and white or grey scales. Colour cannot be included in the abstract book. Make sure that there are no linked graphic objects in your document. The best is to use the “paste special” option to paste the figures as “pictures”. Indent the following lines by 15 mm. Accepted abstracts will be printed and published in the proceedings as well as on the conference web page (http://www.premus2004.ethz.ch/) without further demand for authorisation. Abstracts will not be published on CD-ROM. Abstracts will be published as submitted. Therefore, you should avoid errors and misspellings. At least one of the authors of accepted proposals must be registered to the conference. Presenting authors can subscribe at reduced fee (same as early registration) until march 31st.
