BACFW is an incorporated organisation
CRAFT CLUB. Every TUESDAY
Commencing at 10am come along learn new activities, meet new friends.
Have fun.
Arts and craft classes, sewing lessons, also health & well being for women and other
Programs and activities and a drop in service for women.
Other services in the community are being conducted at BACFW rooms at Unit 2/24
McLean Street Bundaberg opposite the Guide Dogs Shop.
You are welcome to join the BACFW for a $5.00 membership fee. Call in for an application
form in our business hours 9.00 am to 1.00 pm Monday to Friday.

There are plenty of goodies on sale. They have arts and crafts also clothing furniture and other knick knacks to
purchase. Come in and browse in the friendly atmosphere.
Donations are welcome. Clothing, Foot wear, Hats, Uniforms, Sheets, Towel, Blankets, Plastic bags, Papers and
any other saleable items such as bookshelves electrical goods TV sets etc.
They also need volunteers to work in the shop. Would you like to have fun meeting new people lending a hand for a
good cause?
The Bundaberg Family Relationship Centre is a Child Focused Practice
Denise Johnson supports our Murri Families through the Family Dispute
Resolution process. Focus is primarily on the best outcomes for the children.
The centre provides professional services to Families and Separating Parents.
Assistance to focus on and understand the children’s needs;
Information, Referral and Resources on Parenting and Relationships;
Assistance to Develop Parenting plans.
We cannot give Legal Advice, Take sides in any disputes, or tell you what to do.

Wide Bay Aboriginal Corporation for Child Protection is a community based organization that’s
Funded by the Queensland government and works in partnership with the Department of
Communities (Child Safety) Service Centre's in Bundaberg and Maryborough.
Within the child protection system we are known as a Recognised Entity.

As a Recognised Entity we provide an advocacy service to our Aboriginal and Torres Strait
Islander community to ensure that the decisions which are made by Child Safety are in the best
interest of Aboriginal and Torres Strait children or young people. We continually work with
Child Safety to ensure accessibility, cultural appropriateness and responsiveness across the
Child Protection system for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people who, are be subject to
statutory intervention.
We are an intervention service which means we are only involved in a child, young person or
family circumstances if they are identified in the child protection system. We also provide
families with relevant advice and information about the statutory process.

The Indigenous Family Care Service at Lifeline
The Indigenous Family Care Service aims to provide counselling, support and referral advice on Family Violence,
for the indigenous Community. Telling the story breaks the cycle and lessons the secrecy and shame that surrounds
Family Violence. This program encourages Indigenous services and community Elders and members to invite the
indigenous counsellor to join and share knowledge and skills together to help enrich family relationships and
promote healing. You can contact Lifeline on

Owners Ltd.
Waarvah is a Crime Prevention and Early Intervention Program for male Indigenous youth aged 10 – 17

FREE Queensland Health community service that supports early parenting, offering a range of services that
specifically target the first eight weeks of an infant’s life. These services include;
Infant weights and developmental checks, information and support about parenting, infant feeding, infant sleep and
settlement, postnatal depression and supportive services. Small group parenting information sessions provide an
opportunity for parents to socialise and meet with other parents.
