Puberty WebQuest An Internet WebQuest on Puberty Created by Mrs. Dipzinski Introduction | The Task | The Process, Grading & Resources | Questions | Conclusion Introduction Puberty is often referred to as a "roller coaster ride". How can kids and teens maintain a positive self-image during this time? What are some ways to deal with the changes that are happening during puberty? Whereas puberty can be an exciting time, it can also be a time when kids and teens feel nervous or anxious. The changes of puberty do not happen at the same time for everyone, so sometimes teens feel unsure of themselves. This activity will give you an opportunity to explore the areas of puberty that you would like more information about. So sit back, relax, and enjoy. The Task You will be learning proper health terms, more about physical changes during puberty, and exploring areas in which you may have some questions. During the next eight (8) days you will find out the answers to all your puberty questions and more. 1. Each day the agenda on the board will outline the day’s task that corresponds with the web quest and your workbook. 2. You must complete the assigned task for that day in the workbook provided. For example if you look at day one in the work book it directly corresponds to the directions on the web quest for that day. 3. This packet is due on ___________________________. On day five (5) you will have time to go back and complete any sections not done. You may also obtain a QRT pass to go to the library to complete a section not done or see me after school. The Process, Grading and Resources During this activity, you will be checking out information on the web that is related to puberty. You are to only go to the websites designated on this web quest. You are not to obtain information from any other website. You may bring ear buds or head phones to listen to the readings and/or videos. You are expected to complete the worksheet packet provided to you for a grade of 60 points for days 1-6, days 7 and 8 are graded separately based on their individual rubrics which will be gone over on the individual days. Questions Puberty questions can be placed daily in the question box or if you are comfortable you can come directly to Mrs. Dipzinski.
