and developed a knowledge based software tool to facilitate this process
 Developed the ply layup for the inlet duct and all skin panels for the forward fuselage of the Joint
Strike Fighter Concept Demonstrator Aircraft
 Explored fiber steering and the fiber placement process through analytical and experimental
studies to assess the potential for providing reduced weight, affordable composite structure
 Developed and twice taught a 40 hour internal training course in composite design practices and
fundamentals of finite element analysis
 Performed analyses for a composite carrythrough bulkhead, thick composite lugs and multidirectionally reinforced (non-planar) composite fittings
