In addition, students should be able to identify certain objects specific to southeast Asia, particularly India. Travel as well as the Present Perfect Tense Subject Topic Using vocabulary to describe traveling as well as specific vocabulary related to India. Also using the present perfect tense to describe traveling experiences. Aim I would like to get the students thinking about different cultures,as well as where they would like to travel in the future. In addition I would like to give them a refresher course on the present perfect tense to make sure they firmly grasp it. In addition, I would like for the student to know more interesting words for traveling other than just the standard ones. Objective Students should be able to have a good enough grasp on the english language to tell me where they have been in the the world as well as where they want to go. Knowledge assumed Students should perhaps have been introduced to the present perfect tense before. They should also be able to describe less concrete words to their fellow students in Hot Seat. Material & equipment Computer to show pictures of the vocabulary words,a fill in the blank worksheet about the present perfect tense so that the students practice what we just learned, flashcards with a picture and a word on them for the matching game so that the students can associate the picture with the word. Learning assessment Students will be able to write four sentences about a hypothetical trip to India using the present perfect tense and vocabulary from the lesson. Post lesson notes The students seemed genuinely interested in this lesson. They loved to point to the map and tell which places they had gone and which places they still wanted to go. The also didn’t know most of the vocabulary words so the words were a good level. However when I taught them the present perfect tense they knew almost everything. When I asked Gloria if the tense was too easy she said no however she suggested that I use more irregular verbs. So next time I should either change the tense to something more challenging or make the practices more challenging with irregular verbs and more difficult sentences. The lesson went according to plan though. I would definitely say that the students were attentive and were interested in the topic. They really liked the matching game. The fill in the blank worksheet was too easy. I didn’t get done with the produce because we ran out of time. My explanations seemed to work because they did exactly what I had explained to them for the matching game and Hot seat. however they did have some trouble with pronunciation but after we worked on it they understood better. Gloria was incredibly confident while Daniel had a lot more trouble with his speaking and pronunciation. Sometimes Gloria would know the answer right away or the level of the class was too easy for her.
