About RSS and Atom
About RSS and Atom
RSS is defined in Wikipedia as “a family of Web feed formats used to publish frequently
updated works—such as blog entries, news headlines, audio and video—in a
standardized format” [1]. RSS and the related Atom standard can be used to provide
alerts and syndication of content. These lightweight standards play an important role in
a Web 2.0 environment in allowing content to be easily reused.
