The number of credit hours that may be taken is limited to 12 before enrolling as a regular degree-seeking student. This online form can be completed when a prospective student creates an application account with VT Graduate School and logs-on http:/www.grads.vt.edu/academics/programs/non_degree.html. Page 7 of 9 Revised 12.10.13 EXPIDITED APPLICATION PROCEDURE: 1) Log onto the Virginia Tech website; select Graduate School; select Applying to Virginia Tech (http://graduateschool.vt.edu/admissions/applying/index.html#online) 2) Scroll down the page to the Expedited Applicant section and select “Apply Online using the Expedited Application” 3) First time applicants will need to create an account. Otherwise, they can go straight to “Go to the Application”. Once the online application is open, there should be a statement at the top of the application page which says “Please complete the expedited application here”. Click on the associated link and then follow the instructions below. 4) For Part I Enrollment: Select Fall 2011 under the Planned Enrollment Term drop down list. Select a campus. If your campus is not listed, select the default of Blacksburg campus. Go to page 2. 5) On Part 2 General Information fill out all the requested information about yourself. The email address you provide here is where you will get your acceptance email sent to along with instructions for registering for classes. If you are a Virginia resident make sure you indicate that at the bottom and later fill out the Application for Virginia Residency at the end in order to get in-state tuition rates. When done go to page 3. 6) In Part 3 Academic History make sure you indicate that you received a Bachelor’s degree from a university otherwise you are not eligible for Graduate School yet. I don’t think you need to submit transcripts for an Expedited Application. You will need to do so under the Commonwealth Campus or Graduate Certificate enrollment which you must do again to take future classes after this semester. The GRE Exam is not required for the Expedited Application, Commonwealth Application or Graduate Certificate Application.
