The winner of the Large Manufacturing Award went to SRX Global (Australia) in Dandenong South – Australia’s market leader in electronic manufacturing services, which partners with major domestic global innovators,” he said. Future Fibre Technologies in Mulgrave, a global leader in the fibre optic intrusion detection systems which delivers highly intelligent, award-winning intrusion detection solutions, was awarded the Medium Manufacturer of the Year. The 2014 Small Manufacturer of the Year went to Thermofilm Australia in Springvale, which designs, manufactures and supplies world leading, innovative and energyefficient electric heating products. Also recognised for their contribution to the manufacturing industry are four local companies which have been added to the Victorian Manufacturing Industry Hall of Fame. They are: Laurent Bakery (Clayton), Pemara Labels Australia (Notting Hill), Transglaze (Dandenong South) and Australian Precision Technology (Berwick). “These competitive and export-focused manufacturers have been recognised for their innovation, productivity and contribution to the Victorian economy in the face of increased global competition and the strong Australian dollar,’ Mr Rich-Phillips said.
