ForeTees Implementation Guide Who is ForeTees ForeTees is the premier on-line starting time system designed exclusively for private clubs, by golf professionals. The list of clubs that currently use ForeTees totals over 300 and includes 24 of the top 100 courses in the U.S., and 7 of the top 20. Started in 2002, ForeTees has processed over 8 million starting times for its network of clubs using the system. What is ForeTees? ForeTees is an easy-to-use information and starting time tool that will help you enhance communications with your membership as well as collect valuable play habits of your members. Additionally, ForeTees includes event registration capabilities as well as a lesson booking component. Where do we start? In order for the ForeTees system to work, you will need a stand alone computer to manage the starting time system at your Golf Shop counter. Additionally you will need a dedicated internet line. Once those two items are complete you are off and running. Training Dates for ForeTees Launch The training process is very simple and should be completed by the Head Golf Professional and/or a lead Assistant Golf Professional who will manage the system. I would also recommend that anyone else who you think will use the system attend the training. Training time is approximately four hours. The training schedule with ForeTees for online training is as follows: Phase I October 29, 2008. 1 p.m. eastern time zone TPC River Highlands TPC Southwind Phase II, 27 Hole Facilities TPC Sugarloaf October 30, 2008. 1 p.m. eastern time zone TPC Wakefield Plantation Phase III November 12, 2008. 10 a.m. eastern time zone TPC Boston TPC Jasna Polana TPC Potomac TPC River’s Bend Phase III December 8, 2008. 11 a.m. eastern time zone TPC Craig Ranch TPC Summerlin TPC San Francisco Bay If you have any issues with the training dates please call Ben Haubach or Brock Weiss at ForeTees, and he can work out an alternative date for you. (651) 765.6006. For training you will need access to a speaker phone and internet. Training coordinators for ForeTees will Ben Haubach and Brock Weiss, and a call-in number along with additional material will follow shortly regarding ForeTees training. How will Members Access ForeTees? Members will be able to access the starting time reservation system through your club website. Your home page will have a direct pass thru to the ForeTees system by clicking on a “Make a Starting Time” tab. The addition of the Roster Sync tool with Club Essentials will and has made this possible. ForeTees Member Launch Once all the training and infrastructure is complete for your sight you will be able to launch the site to your members. I would recommend a January 2009 launch but that decision will ultimately be yours based on your circumstances. Things to Consider for Member Launch With the re-design of our club websites almost complete, we have a great opportunity to make a big splash with our members regarding the re-design and addition of your ForeTees starting time system. Communications to them will be critical to make this launch successful and beneficial for all involved, you and your staff included. Here is what we did to promote Foretees when we first implemented at the club... 1) Had a computer set-up at Premier Night with the instructions from ForeTees on how to use, while the Golf Shop staff promoted 2) Followed up with a letter to the membership and included the ForeTees instructions again 3) Posted ForeTees instructions on our website and put an ad in our newsletters 4) Put ForeTees instructions throughout the clubhouse for Members to see and pick up (still have them available in the Locker Rooms today) Things we didn't do, but would be helpful now if implementing... 1) Make posters on roll printer to display in clubhouse 2) Send an e-mail and/or include in the weekly e-mail What we do now to introduce to new members... 1) Include instructions in orientation packet 2) Have the new member go to the site during new member orientation What we do now to introduce to new members... 1) Include instructions in orientation packet 2) Have the new member go to the site during new member orientation As you can see there is a great deal of work ahead, but in the end both you and your members will be happy you have added the system to your club. If you have any questions regarding the system, or anything else regarding ForeTees please feel free to give me a call. Best of luck in your launch and welcome to a new dimension in making starting times!
