WELCOME CLASS 33
The great adventure begins…
Week one is going to be a very busy one for you as you settle into the classroom routine and meet your
fellow Class 09 members. This is your first issue of the Communique. The Communique is the
communication vehicle I use to share with you relevant information that you will need during your
session as well as info regarding upcoming events. Pick it up first thing (in your mail folder) when you
arrive because there could be information that you need to be immediately aware of. The Communique
as well as the schedule will be posted on WebCafe two days before class begins and of course see me
if you have any questions. I am located on the 5th floor mezzanine in room 606. Good luck and enjoy!
Juana
MAIL FOLDERS
So what are Mail Folders? Outside of your classrooms you will see two open
file drawers which contain your Mail Folders. This is your Wharton West
mailbox. Please check your mail folder 3 times a day as we put items in it
throughout the day.
NAMEPLATES
Please leave the name plate bases in the classrooms and transport your name plate with you as you
change classrooms. At the end of the day/session you can store your nameplate in your mail folder.
CLASS SCHEDULE
Like the Communique, the schedule will be placed in your Mail Folder and on Webcafe. The schedule
maps out the session with classes, events, speakers and meals. Your class is divided into two sections.
Each term there is movement between the two sections so that you will eventually have classes with all
of your classmates.
STUDY ROOMS
You have been assigned to a study group. Every effort was made to have a good balance in each group.
There are 15 study groups with 10 study rooms on the 5th floor and 5 in room 450 on the 4th floor.
Each term your study group will rotate to another study room with every group experiencing the
various study room locations. In addition, two study rooms are available for your use at Le Meridien
Hotel. The keys to the hotel study rooms can be obtained at the front desk. Please see the Resource
Guide for additional information.
MEALS
A continental breakfast and dinner are at Wharton West. Please note that on the first day of a
session while the continental breakfast is not served, coffee/tea/juices and cereal are available.

financial aid process. They will be available for a one-on-one review of the status of your loan and
review requirements for the next 5 terms. A sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board. You can also
“drop-in” during your breaks. Please take the opportunity to meet with Tammy and Lakeisha as they
are Wharton financial aid subject matter experts and this is the only time that they will be at the SF
campus.

TUITION
Term 1 tuition payment is due this session. For those of you using Financial Aid your application must
be on file by May 20th to avoid late fees. For those paying directly you can give me your check and I
will provide you with a receipt. If you are paying electronically please let me know.
RESOURCE GUIDE
You received a hard copy of the MBAExec – West Resource Guide in your book mailing. The Resource
Guide is your “go to” doc for many of the questions that you may have. It will also be posted on
WebCafe.
COPIER/PRINTERS
While there are printers in the study rooms there is a faster network printer in the hallway near the
bulletin boards and there is also one on the 4th floor.
You will need your study team copy code to use the copier. Your copy code number is your graduation
year and your study group number e.g. 0901 = Study Group 1
