AIR SERVICE DEVELOPMENT DISCUSSION

1. INDUSTRY TRENDS. Impending retirement of smaller regional jets,
industry consolidation, decrease in number of commercial airline systems
and equipment, American Airline bankruptcy. Challenges consolidation
poses on air service recruitment. Impact of Southwest/AirTran merger.
2. IMPACT ON BURLINGTON. Near and long term impact of industry
trends on Burlington
3. BURLINGTON SERVICE. Comparison of BTV 2012 schedule vs 2011
schedule. Discussion of potential gaps in service.
4. DELTA/USAIR SLOT SWAP. Where it stands. Impact on Burlington
(potential loss of international connectivity from JFK with move of Delta
service to LGA).
5. MAINLINE SERVICE. . Possible opportunities for upgauging at BTV due
to issue of aging and eventual retirement of regional jets. (June move by
Delta with service to Atlanta). United to Chicago?
6. POTENTIAL OPPORTUNITIES. Recruitment of low cost point-to-point
airlines (Spirit, Allegiant) Increasing Canadian passengers. Fort
Lauderdale, Charlotte, Boston (?). What will it take to get
Southwest/AirTran to consider BTV?
