Initial draft 2 Winmate 1.Description 1.1 Introduction TA33 Window CE arm base platform is a completely integrated SBC (single board computer) designed specifically for OEM’s building the next generation of embedded intelligent devices. TA33 provides the ideal platform for almost any application, from low-power, high-performance PDAs and high-resolution Web appliances to industrial control. It is also a great education and training tool. This document is use for how to build an project for TA33, it include how to use platform builder on OSDesign project and all the variables in platform. Winmate products’ certificates are based on our OS default settings. Modifying these settings might lead to some technical issues and may invalidate your warranty. 3 Winmate 2.Pre-System requisites Before you using the BSP porting , make sure you are already install the program as below 2.1 Prepare environment for build WINCE Software name Use for Visual Studio 2008 Install WINCE Visual Studio 2008 SP1 Build WINCE Windows Embedded Compact 7 Build WINCE Windows Embedded Compact 7 Updates - Build WINCE update 1 to update 4 (Oct 2011) The BSP of TA33 Build WINCE After install the Windows Embedded Compact 7, please copy the BSP of TA33 to your PLATFORM , it usually in C:\WINCE700\PLATFORM 4 Winmate 2.2 BSP file introduction In the WINCE700\PLATFORM\AM33X_BSP you can see as below, and we will explain what the file or folder means PLATFORM\AM33X_BSP\ -catalog : It’s the folder which put EVM_OMAP3530.pbcxml ----------- AM33X_BSP.pbcxml : It’s the file which is contain all the components in your project. -cesysgen : It’s the folder which put platform.reg , platform.bib , platform.dat , platform.db , config.bib files -FILES : It’s the folder which is put all the files that your project need.. -Lib : The project need the platform depends library -SRC : The project need the platform depends registry -Target : The project need the platform depends dll -AM33X_BSP.bat : It’s the variables file that you can change the platform variables adjust your project image. 5 Winmate 3.Building a AM33X_OS from Winmate 3.1 Prepare OSDesign from Winmate Copy the project AM33X_OS from Winmate to your OSDesig , , it usually in C:\WINCE700\OSDesign 3.2 Build the AM33X_OS project Open the AM33X_OS project , Select Solution Configurations to AM33X_BSP_ARM7 Release 6 Winmate click the Build of the tool bar and select Build AM33X_OS When build is finish , you can get the NK.bin image file. 7 Winmate 4.Variables in Platform In the release BSP , we have already add variables in the AM33X_BSP.bat file for TA33 as below BSP_NLED The notification led driver of AM33X_BSP, enable =1; disable=0 or blank BSP_LIGHTSENSOR The light sensor driver of AM33X_BSP, enable =1; disable=0 or blank 8
