A huge controversy involving the National Library Board (NLB) was started by its initial
decision to pulp two children’s books titles due to the homosexuality themes. After several
heated debates on the appropriate actions to be taken, NLB has decided to place the books in the
adults’ collection. However, it was not sufficient. Placing the books in the adult section does not
completely stop children from reading books with inappropriate themes. Hence, I propose the
government to ban all children from reading, therefore stopping the corruption in the minds.
The availability and accessibility in various sources of knowledge has provided the perfect
breeding ground for corruption of the minds. There is an abundance of sources namely, public
libraries and the Internet which provides a foundation for Singaporeans to become the tainted
people they are today. In order to achieve conformity to the same ideal mindset and put a stop in
the pollution in the minds of Singaporeans, a thorough purification has to be done. We have to
ban all children from reading.
Starting a Singapore revolution in an attempt to purify the nation will provide many benefits for
all citizens. By restricting the means and desire for knowledge, Singapore can rebuild itself to be
a skills orientated nation instead of a nation of scholars. Singapore will become a true titan in the
world of sports and arts as it would be compulsory for all children to pick up a skill.
Being a truly democratic society, all Singaporeans must have the same mindset and values.
Therefore the government must eliminate any “non-Singaporean” ideas and values such as
homosexuality. Homosexuality stops pro-creation and pro-creation has always been an important
emphasis in Singapore. The future generation must pro-create for Singapore to become a great
nation. Also, it will help to ease the struggle Singapore currently faces with regards to its low
fertility rate.
This proposal is essential to purify the current tainted Singapore and create a new reborn
Singapore. Like a phoenix rising from its ashes, a nation of perfect Singaporeans will be born.
Start today for a brighter, better and revolutionary tomorrow.
