HOW MANY CAN YOU TICK OFF? Summer wish list activities Take your bike or scooter for a ride in the park. Take your dog for a walk. Take your skateboard down to the local skate park, and learn some new tricks. Shoot some basketball hoops, in the backyard or at a local court. Grow some vegetables and flowers in your garden, and make sure you pull out all the weeds. Jump on the trampoline and see how high you can jump. Attend a Family Zumba class, which can be found on the Activate Your Family “family holiday activities calendar”. Help your kids to make a cubby house. Create an activity day: with stations on a circuit for e.g. station 1: skipping, 2: hopping, threestar jumps, four-hoop twirling with a rotation of stations every two minutes. Take a kite to your local park and watch it fly through the sky. Kick a footy or soccer ball with your friends and family. Backyard cricket time. Explore the great outdoors, and go for a bushwalk, such as RJ Chambers Walk, in Pakenham Upper. Use the free outdoor gym equipment located around Cardinia Shire. Play an old fashioned game of tiggy. Head down to the beach and throw a ball. Create a swing or tarzan rope on your family backyard tree. Create some outdoor ten pin bowling with empty plastic bottles. Have a game of old school Velcro ball game. Play totem tennis. Ask your family to teach you a new game that they used to play when they were kids. Put on your favourite music and dance for the whole song. Play hide and seek. Find a long rope, and play tug of war with your friends. Take a frisbee to the park and see how far you can throw!
