GBBB TOURNAMENT
7-8 RULES
1. Coach Pitcher must stay out of the way at all times.
2. If a ball hits the coach pitcher, the ball is dead. If the ball is a batted
ball, it counts as a pitch, however, if it is the last pitch, the batter will
receive another pitch.
3. The Coach Pitcher must not coach runners. PENALTY: One (1)
warning, after which the Coach Pitcher may be removed from the
mound.
4. Batters shall receive five (5) pitches or three (3) strikes to put the ball
in play. If the ball is not put in play the batter is out. EXCEPTION:
Last pitch cannot be a foul ball.
5. No team shall score more than five (5) runs in one inning. The sixth
(6) inning or any extra innings are exempt from this rule.
6. No new Inning will start after one (1) hour and thirty (30)
minutes.
7. Runners cannot leave the base before the ball is batted. If in the
umpire’s judgment the runner leaves early, play is stopped and the
runner will be out NO WARNINGS.
8. With two (2) outs a runner may be used for the catcher. Player last
recorded out.
9. There shall be four (4) outfielders. No short fielders.
10.There will be a ten (10) foot circle centered from thirty-eight (38)
feet. Coach Pitcher’s foot must be touching the thirty-three (33) foot
line to begin pitching. Player fielding the pitcher position must stay
inside of pitchers circle until ball is hit.
11.Play will stop and the umpire will call time when, in the umpire’s
judgment an infielder has stopped the advancement of the runner(s).
12.All overthrows are considered “live”.
13.Teams must have ten (10) players to start with and may finish with
nine (9). If a team has only nine (9) players, they must field the
catcher position instead of the pitcher position.
