New life in the Maxhütte Steel Works Abandoned steel plant populated by models for LIQUI MOLY's pin-up calendar. September 2014 – The German oil and additive specialist LIQUI MOLY has again found a very special location for its new pin-up calendar: the Maxhütte Steel Works in Bavaria. 14 models posed in the abandoned steel plant. "These tastefully staged photographs are intended to make everyday life in the workshop more pleasant", stated Peter Baumann, Marketing Manager at LIQUI MOLY. The Maxhütte Steel Works was once a major steel plant with over 9,000 employees. Although the blast furnaces have cooled down some time ago, the temperature in the plant rises again when the LIQUI MOLY models take over these industrial ruins. They inspect control cabinets, lubricate the equipment and put the laboratory back into operation. Dust, rust and slag are present everywhere; all of the shots speak of the past and decay. "The appeal of these pictures is the juxtaposition of the models and their surroundings: Young women in old industrial ruins, slender bodies in front of machines weighing many tons. Not only the motifs make this calendar something special: It is also a particularly "long" calendar, with 13 instead of the usual 12 months, starting in December. These calendars will be forwarded to workshops and other LIQUI MOLY customers. If you didn't get one, you can try to obtain one of the few calendars available in the LIQUI MOLY Teamshop at www.liquimoly-teamshop.de. But hurry: Last year the calendars were sold out very quickly. Quick acting customers can also get one of the free copies LIQUI MOLY is giving away at the Automechanika Trade Fair: This is the world's largest Automotive Aftermarket Exhibition and will be held from the 16th to 20th of September in Frankfurt, Germany. LIQUI MOLY can be found in hall 9.1 at booth C06. The LIQUI MOLY Motor Sports Calendar, which will be appearing soon, appeals to other senses.
