New Educational/Professional Product Proposal
For the purposes of this form, a ‘product’ is considered to be a course, conference, meeting, book, electronic
product, eLearning product or any combination of these. The completed proposal form will be submitted to the
Education Quality Assurance Committee for consideration. Please provide a comprehensive overview (Section 3)
to assist the Committee in making a decision.
This form is split into two sections:


Section A is designed to be completed by the product proposer.
Section B is designed to be completed by RCOG staff.

any previous work or publications in this area and any declaration of interests

You must address all these points in order:
(a) educational or professional objectives;
(b) background, rationale and detailed product description including how the product will ultimately benefit
women’s health (note: a product may be purely educational, e.g. related to exam or assessment and that
therefore the impact on women’s health may be indirect);
(c) the lifetime of the product and how quality will be assured over this period (see also 7. in Section B
below);
(d) any distinguishing features the product will have over its competitors;
(e) any risks associated with the product (e.g. is the audience size quite small, or do you know of any
competing products currently in development?);
