` Position Description as at 6th December 2013 Position Details Title Manager – Marketing and Communications Unit Marketing and Communications Time Fraction Four days per week (0.8 EFT) Position Relationships Reports to CEO Principal Location City office (with visits to other LifeWorks’ branches) Position Purpose In line with LifeWorks’ Strategic Business Plan and associated Key Performance Indicators, continue to raise the profile of the organisation to maximise client access. Major Responsibility Areas and KPI’s Major Responsibility Area Key Performance Indicators 1. Strategic brand management Ensure that LifeWorks is presented both internally and externally in a consistent manner in accordance with the brand style guide. Ensure that all marketing and communication activities are aligned to the LifeWorks brand values. Associated Tasks Set the strategic direction for and oversee the management of the LifeWorks brand. Manage LifeWorks’ brand assets including logo and visual identity in accordance with the Style Guide. Strategically manage the marketing budget to maximise brand awareness, recognition and recall. Major Responsibility Area Key Performance Indicators 2. LifeWorks Website Ensure LifeWorks’ website is current, accurate and updated on a regular basis. Associated Tasks Ensure LifeWorks website evolves to meet current market trends. Regular reporting and analysis of website activity. Ensure LifeWorks’ website design and content is optimised for search. Manage LifeWorkorks’ website by developing and loading content, including regular news releases and updating of upcoming program feed. Regularly review the website to ensure content is current and updated. Manage new web development initiatives. Ensure the website is optimised for SEO and SEM. Monitor website orders. Manage domains. Monitor website activity via Google Analytics and provide regular activity reports to Management and Board. Major Responsibility Area Key Performance Indicators 3. Digital Marketing Develop engaging content for social media platforms and monitor activity. Develop and execute regular EDM campaigns. Create and monitor regular Google adwords campaigns. Ensure LifeWorks’ database is current and accurate. Associated Tasks Design and manage EDM campaigns for all business lines. Manage social media platforms. Manage online advertising including Google adwords campaigns. Database management. Major Responsibility Area Key Performance Indicators 4. Marketing Materials Ensure that LifeWorks printed marketing collateral is produced and distributed in a timely manner and within budget. Ensure that branches and departments have access to relevant marketing materials as required. Associated Tasks Manage the design, budget and delivery of printed marketing materials including brochures, posters, annual reports, business cards and branded stationery. Set up and manage templates for flyers, certificates, powerpoint presentations and other collateral. Manage design and production of manuals and facilitator guides. Manage LifeWorks signage and outdoor advertising across all branches. Major Responsibility Area Key Performance Indicators 5. Advertising Ensure that LifeWorks’ directory listings are current. Ensure that LifeWorks’ campaigns are produced and placed or distributed in a timely manner and within budget. Associated Tasks: Manage directory listings. Manage advertising and direct mail campaigns where required. Report and analyse campaign results. Major Responsibility Area Key Performance Indicators 6. PR and Community Relations Ensure that media enquiries are handled in an efficient and responsive manner. Ensure that LifeWorks staff are appropriately briefed and supported for media and local area networking activities. Maintain and update LifeWorks’ expo kit and presence at community and local area marketing functions and events. Associated Tasks: Manage LifeWorks’ public profile. Handle media enquiries and manage clippings. Write and distribute press releases. Provide media training and support to LifeWorks’ staff. Co-ordinate LifeWorks’ events and manage LifeWorks’ stalls and presence at expos, community events and conferences. Represent LifeWorks at networking and local area marketing events. Major Responsibility Area Key Performance Indicators 7. Image and Video Library Ensure that LifeWorks’ image and video library is maintained and updated on a regular basis. Associated Tasks: Ensure that LifeWorks images and videos are used in accordance with the brand style guide. Manage and edit LifeWorks’ image and photographic library. Manage photoshoots co-ordinate casting and provide art direction. Film, edit and produce videos of LifeWorks’ events and programs. Manage associated copyright and documentation. Major Responsibility Area Key Performance Indicators 8. Internal Communications Ensure that LifeWorks’ intranet is current, accurate and regularly updated with relevant and engaging content. Ensure that LifeWorks staff are kept up-to-date with relevant and timely communications. Provide regular information sessions for staff. Associated Tasks: Manage and regularly update LifeWorks’ intranet. Manage internal communications for LifeWorks’ branch network. Provide communications advice and participate in LifeWorks’ project teams. Assist in the preparation of reports, tender documents, grant applications submissions and correspondence as required. Provide marketing information and updates to staff via presentations and communication initiatives. Professional Qualities Required: Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications or related field. Excellent copywriting, editing and proofing skills. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with website CMS, SEM, EDM and social media. Ability to collate marketing metrics and analyse activity reports including Google Analytics. Ability to develop and implement targeted campaigns, in both a business-to-business and business-to-consumer environment. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Ability to work autonomously, as well as in a team environment. Strong customer service focus and ability to foster productive relationships and networks. The position is subject always to ongoing funding and satisfactory annual performance reviews. As an agency funded partially through the Commonwealth Department of Social Services all employees are required to sign an Oath of Confidentiality. Travel to the branches of the organisation. Some out-of-hours work required as per marketing events and functions. National Police Check and Working with Children Check are mandatory. Current driver’s licence.
