Lindskog’s Vibration-Based Predictive Maintenance Program
What is a Lindskog PdM Program?
The Predictive Maintenance Program that Lindskog offers provides vibration-based routine monitoring.
This service is available for a wide range of equipment in a variety of settings including the most basic
commercial buildings as well as in facilities with highly sophisticated mechanical systems. We analyze
vibration characteristics such as velocity and frequency to determine the cause when an issue is identified
and provide appropriate recommendations in order to keep equipment in optimal condition.
The Value of Trending Performance
By trending equipment vibration with routine monitoring, our programs provide property and facility
managers with valuable insight into equipment performance. Monitoring programs consistently catch
issues in their early stages so that a proactive solution can be implemented during scheduled downtimes
rather than risking production loss when a failure occurs unexpectedly during peak operating hours.
Customized Programs
Lindskog offers a wide range of approaches to our PdMs in order to accommodate different budget
allowances, varying degrees of critical need and an assortment of other variables. We offer customized
programs that focus on exactly what each customer needs. Client PdMs may differ due to need and budget,
however, the common experience among customers is that the investment they make with a monitoring
program is more than justified when they see their first report. Our reports allow managers to be proactive
at their convenience rather than reactive to the snowballing issues that inevitably occur during critical
production periods.
What You Can Expect
Following completion of each scheduled vibration survey performed by one of our professional
technicians, Lindskog provides a detailed report with the status of each unit surveyed. When appropriate,
spectra (graphs) will be included to help illustrate relevant conditions and we will list recommendations for
correcting any issues that are identified. If a quote for repairing existing issues does not accompany your
report we can provide one in most cases or advise you on the best course of action.
Solutions That We Provide
Following the completion of a PDM, Lindskog will provide specific recommendations to keep your
equipment at peak condition. Lindskog Balancing has been in the business of addressing vibration related
issues in rotating equipment for over 50 years therefore, our experience combined with a wide range of
capabilities enables us to perform corrective solutions including but not limited to, Dynamic Balancing and
Laser Aligning services that are not easily matched.
Our Goal with PdMs
Lindskog Balancing has a reputation for quality service and when we get a chance to show how our PdMs
can relieve the stress of unpredictable equipment performance we have a way of making loyal customers.
Nothing makes us happier than when we are able to save customers trouble by catching underlying
equipment problems and helping to avoid catastrophic failures.
