Name: ___________________________________ Leave Your Mark Tic-Tac-Toe Project Guide Writing Magazine Article and Cover Write an article that could be found in a magazine about the mark you are leaving. Your article can be set up like an interview (between the editor and yourself) or like a human interest piece focusing on you! Articles should be 4 paragraphs long. You must also create a cover for your magazine that includes: Magazine title Publish date Featured article headlines Picture that represents your accomplishment Oral Demonstration Are you going to accomplish something that we will only understand by SEEING or HEARING it? Demonstrate it for us! A demonstration will SHOW us how you are going to leave your mark. You can teach us how to do your talent, show and explain your passion, or do a skit of your journey. Demonstrations should be 5-10 minutes long. If you think you want to do this, ask Ms. Lamb about your possibilities. Oral Song/Rap Write a song or rap that includes information about your great accomplishment. Songs and raps should have a chorus and three refrains. This will later be performed during your presentation. Background music is not required, but it is encouraged! Free Space You tell me what you want to do, and we will work something out! This option must fill in the missing component from the row. Multimedia Prezi Writing Poem Use prezi.com to create a presentation showcasing your great accomplishment. Prezis should NOT just have information written in full sentences and paragraphs. Be concise, use pictures. You may also include YouTube videos in your prezi. Capture your mark through poetry! You must write one of each of the following three poems: Acrostic – Use a word that represents the mark you are leaving Haiku – Don’t forget: 5-7-5 Free Verse – Include 2 similes, 1 personification, 1 onomatopoeia, and a set rhyme scheme Multimedia Animoto Use animoto.com to create a video showcasing your great accomplishment and the mark you are going to leave on the world! Animotos should be 1 ½ - 2 minutes. Writing Soundtrack Choose 7 songs that represent your journey as you leave your mark. You will create a CD case (you can use an old CD/DVD/ case) and include the following: Decorated front with an image that represents your accomplishment A list of the title of the song and original singer on the back A 3-4 sentence explanation of how the song represents your journey placed on the inside A copy of the CD is not required but is encouraged! Oral Speech Write an acceptance speech for the award you have just won for your great accomplishment! In this acceptance speech, encourage people to follow their dreams and leave their mark like you, just like you! Speeches should be 3-5 minutes long.
