ClearCase Administrator, Hewlett Packard Feb 2015 – Oct 2015 HP is splitting into two companies. A new data center is being stood up and a portion of the 5000 VOBs being managed need to be permanently migrated to the new data center. All work is done on HP-UX servers. Custom development to migrate and manage the large move is done in PERL. ClearCase/Git Administrator, Cognizant/Xerox Feb 2014 – Feb 2015 At Xerox I implemented an integrated ClearCase, Git, and ClearQuest SCM environment for approx. 200 developers. Legacy ClearCase was being permanently migrated to Git. My responsibilities included build and release management, agile scrum master, utility development, and team lead. ClearCase Administrator, Honeywell Sep 2011 – Dec 2013 At Honeywell I integrated ClearCase and ClearQuest in an extensive UCM multisite environment. The remote sites were external companies around the world. The system will eventually be rolled out to several hundred users. The project required extensive customizations to control development, reviews, approvals, build, release, and export control across all internal and external sites. All work was done in PERL. ClearCase/ClearQuest Administrator, Mayo Clinic Mar 2011 – Sep 2011 At Mayo Clinic I worked on migrating existing projects over to ClearCase. I trained permanent employees in PERL development and ClearQuest administration. I also developed numerous enhancements to the existing ClearQuest system. All work was done in PERL. ClearQuest Administrator, Fannie Mae Nov 2008 – Nov 2010 At Fannie Mae I worked on a re-architecture of their legacy ClearQuest system. Work included system performance enhancements, integrations with new external systems, data feeds, numerous functional enhancements, and large migrations of legacy data from other systems. All work was done in PERL. ClearQuest Developer – Team Lead, Cadence Design Systems Sep 2006 – Oct 2008 At Cadence I was the technical lead on the development of a worldwide ClearQuest system. The system supports 5000 users on several continents. My responsibilities include business requirements analysis, architecture and design, extensive internal and external development in Perl, testing, and implementation. I was the lead developer that took the system from requirements to production. All work was done PERL. ClearQuest Administrator – Team Lead, Wells Fargo Sep 2004 – Sep 2006 At Wells Fargo I was the technical lead and schema developer (in VBScript) on a team that rolled out a centralized, web-based ClearQuest system for 4000 users. I wrote data feeds in Perl to move data in and out of ClearQuest, making extensive use of the ClearQuest API. I wrote numerous other ClearQuest applications, including a rewrite of the ClearQuest email system. Based on business requirements, I wrote technical requirements and architecture documentation, developed and implemented the system, trained the trainers and business admins, and wrote user and administration manuals. Basically, I took the project from concept to production. ClearCase Administrator, Spectrum Astro Oct 2003 – Sep 2004 At Spectrum Astro (now General Dynamics) I was the sole software configuration manager (150 developers). I scripted many custom utilities for ClearCase and ClearQuest in PERL. My duties included the installation, customization, maintenance, and documentation of the company’s SCM environment. Spectrum Astro achieved CMM Level 3 certification during my time there. ClearCase/ClearQuest Consultant, IBM Rational Software May 1999 – Oct 2003 At Rational Software I was a traveling consultant/expert on ClearCase and ClearQuest on all platforms and configurations. In addition to consulting, I was a senior instructor on Rational’s SCM tools (see below). My duties covered a very wide range, depending on the customer’s needs. Some of those duties included training, mentoring, installations, consulting, development, architecture, performance tuning, SCM best practices, etc… ClearCase Administrator, Motorola Sep 1998 – May 1999 At Motorola (now General Dynamics) I was the ClearCase administrator for multiple projects. In addition to ClearCase, I gained considerable experience with ClearDDTS to ClearQuest conversions. My duties included installations, maintenance, training, and some customizations. EDUCATION B.S.
